Mn(OH)2 is the chemical formula for manganese(II) hydroxide. It is a white or light pink solid that is insoluble in water. It is commonly used as a starting material in the production of manganese dioxide, which is used in dry-cell batteries. Mn(OH)2 is also used as a flocculating agent in water treatment to remove impurities. It has a molar mass of 88.94 g/mol and a density of 3.26 g/cm³.
